I like to watch things and eat stuff.
“All one requires is that perfect song on that perfect drive to feel infinite.”
Ladies & gents, here are my favorite songs of 2012. Most of these, with few exceptions, come from albums that are worth listening to in their entirety.
The songs lean toward Americana/roots music because, well, that’s what I tend to gravitate towards. But also because there’s been an awful lot of great stuff released this year.
I’ve got these listed in no particular order, other than that which I think works best. As my year-end list usually is, it’s a bit schizophrenic (as is my taste in music), but I did my best to make the playlist coherent.
What do you think? Did I leave something off that you think should have made it on here?
Here’s some Christmas music that won’t make you hate Christmas music! Enjoy!
A piano ballad cover of Limp Bizkit’s “Break Stuff?” Yeah, I’m gonna listen to that.
Song-A-Day for August 23, 2012.
I’ve gotten away from this. But here’s the return of Song-A-Day. For August 22.
This is excellent.
Song-A-Day for August 10, 2012.
Song-A-Day for August 7, 2012.
Song-A-Day for August 6, 2012
An on-going music experiment.
Today’s Song-A-Day entry. “Summertime” by the late great Doc Watson.
I’m starting a new playlist called Song-A-Day. It’s a catchy title for a playlist in which I will add a song every day. Subscribe if you’d like. Here’s song #1: “Baby, I’m In The Mood For You” by Bob Dylan, from The Witmark Demos.
This is a gorgeous cover.
