Jose Padilha’s ROBOCOP viral marketing begins. It’s a remake that I think is completely unnecessary, since no one is ever going to top Paul Verhoeven’s bloody satirical blast of a film, but Padilha is good and could bring something pretty interesting to the game. If you’ve got Netflix, check out his ELITE SQUAD 2. It’s pretty great.
I like it. This Oldboy remake has been being rumored for years (with Will Smith and Spielberg originally attached, which would’ve been just terrible). But with Spike Lee and Josh Brolin on board, you can count me on board too. This could be interesting.

Movie Trailer of the Day: First official teaser trailer for the upcoming remake of the 1989 TV movie adaptation of Susan Hill’s novel The Woman in Black.
The film, which stars Ciarán Hinds, Janet McTeer, Liz White, Sophie Stuckey, and Daniel Radcliffe in his first post-Harry Potter film role, is due in theaters February 10, 2012.
